Chelsea 3-1 Newcastle: Great Performance from Victor Moses fires Chelsea past Newcastle

After the hamstring injury that sidelined Victor Moses for weeks, the Chelsea attacking right back returned to full action.

The Nigeria forward made the starting line-up for Chelsea against Newcastle United at Standford Bridge, though he was a 75th minute substitute against Swansea during the week.

The Nigerian International performance was noticed in the 33rd minute when he made a wonderful cross headed by Alvaro Morata to give Chelsea the lead. Earlier in the game, Newcastle's Dwight Gyale already put the visitors in front in the 12th minute after a defensive error from Chelsea's Marcos Alonso but thanks to Edin Hazard equaliser in the 21st minute.

In the 74th minute Victor Moses was brought down by Newcastle defender as he tries to connect a pass from Cesc  Fabregas and the referee Kevin Friend called for a penalty that was converted by Hazard, sending Darlow the Newcastle goalkeeper to the wrong direction.
The pace, energy and strength of Moses brought a lot of improvement to Chelsea midfield and attack. Good news to all Nigerians that Victor Moses is back after missing the action against Algeria in the world cup qualifier and Argentina in a friendly match.

After 90 minutes Chelsea 3-1 Newcastle.
