After superlative performances as Super Eagles Manager, Gernot Rohr has been nominated by Caf for an award.
The former gaffer of OGC Nice made the list of five released by the African Soccer governing Body popularly known as Caf for the African Coach of the year.
The 63-year-old Franco-German qualified Nigeria for the Russia 2018 World Cup with a match to spare and the Super Eagles was the first African team to secure a ticket from a tagged 'Group of Death' that had current African Champions Cameroon, Northern African powerhouse Algeria and 2012 African Champions Zambia.
Coach Gernot Rohr will be hoping to become the first Super Eagles Coach to win the top prize since 2013 when the Late Stephen Okechukwu Keshi clinched it following an Afcon Triumph.
The ceremony will be held on the 4th of January in Accra Ghana.
