A lot has been said about the newly acquired Leicester City attacker Kelechi Iheanacho.
Kelechi is one of the fast rising players in the world and a lot is expected of the prospect especially with a less enterprising Leicester City.
Iheanacho is believed to have under-studied Stevan Jovetić,Sergio Leonel "Kun" Agüero,Edin Džeko,Wilfred Bony in the striking position for Manchester City over the past 2-3years and now matured enough to make a name for himself.
His goal per shot and per minute ratio stat in the premier league remains an amazing record for such a young and not too trusted player.
2015/2016: 1 goal per 86 minutes, 1 goal or assist per 63 minutes
Manuel Luis Pellegrini Ripamont gave Iheanacho the breakthrough in 2015 with injury prone Jovetic and Unhappy Edin Dzeko offloaded thereby giving the inexperienced Iheanacho a third choice spot behind Aguero and Ivorian Bony.
Iheanacho scored 13goals of which one of them ensured that Manchester City plays Champions league football in the following season.
He also displaced Bony in the dying stages of that season and finished it as the third top scorer for his team and was voted the best young player.
Pep Guardiola came and made the youngster have lesser game time but he still has the best minutes per goal ratio in Premier League history, with a goal every 106.5 minutes.
2016/2017: 1 goal per 128 minutes, 1 goal or assist per 90 minutes
His 2015/2016 stat means unrealistically that he could score 40goals while his 2016/2017 stat is a drop off that could yield 27goals but may still be good enough to be the topscorer in the league but one must admit the squad quality factor.
