Composed Iheanacho Caps Leicester Cameo With Assist

Nigeria international, Kelechi Iheanacho made his long awaited pre-season appearance not in the colour the 'Citizens'(Manchester City) but as a Fox for Leicester City.
Iheanacho was signed just over 24 hours ago played for Leicester City on Friday night in their last pre-season friendly against German Bundesliga side Bayern Monchengladbach at the King Power Stadium.

The 20-year-old was named on the bench alongside compatriot Ahmed Musa while Wilfred Ndidi was on the pitch for the entire duration.

The match was deadlocked goalless in the first 45minutes with Leicester city having the best share of opportunities. Just a minute into the second half and Hazard scored the opener for Borussia Mönchengladbach with a nice right foot finish from 18 yards.
But the match with take another dimension due to the introduction of Kelechi Iheanacho for Japanese Okazaki midway into the second half. Sixty seconds later, Jamie levelled the scoreline profiting from a long ball by James. It was only a matter of time as for the Foxes to score another goal with passes from James to Mahrez to Iheanacho who squared the ball from a scoring position for a better positioned Jamie Vardy who tapped home to earn his brace in the 74th minute.

Fear was around the King power stadium when Iheanacho was hacked down and was substituted immediately. Manager Craig Shakespeare quickly clear the air about his fitness doubt. "Last thing he needed was another kick on it, so we played if safe." Leicester Coach Craig Shakespeare after the match. I am still looking to find out, I don’t know whether it is ankle or Achilles but he seems fine,” added Shakespeare. “The first thing is the physios and they aren’t showing great concern which is a good sign.”
