Obaje fires FC Ifeanyiuba to victory in Nnewi

FC Ifeanyiuba were on top of their game on Sunday in Nnewi as they recorded a 1-0 victory over visiting Enyimba International.

FC Ifeanyiuba top goal scorer Godwin Obaje changed the atmosphere of Nnewi Stadium in the 50th minute with a super strike to fire FC Ifeanyiuba ahead of Enyimba, thanks to an assist from Ngoma.

Enyimba International FC were lively in the first half as they were able to control the pressure from FC Ifeanyiuba until the second half in the 50th minute as Godwin Obaje was able to do away with his marker to fire home the winning and only goal of the encounter.

Also in the first half, Prince Aggreh, Godwin Obaje, John Huan, Alaekwe Chijoke were up and doing and would have gotten early goals but thanks to the defensive strength of Isiaka Oladuntoye, Andrew Abalogu, Nelson Ogbonnaya and Udoh Ikouwem.

Some minutes to the end of the match, Enyimba International goalkeeper had a disagreement with some ball boys dressed in FC Ifeanyiuba colour as they were allegedly involved in the disappearance of the ball from the field of play with Enyimba goalkeeper trying to retrieve the ball and the match was suspended for few minutes.
After 90 minutes FC Ifeanyiuba 1-0 Enyimba International courtesy of goal from Godwin Obaje.
