Manchester United defender Eric Bailly has been handed three-match ban by the European Football Governing Body, UEFA, following the red card he received during last season Europa Cup semifinal against Celta Vigo.
The Ivory Coast International missed the final of the Europa League against Ajax in which Manchester United clinched the Europa League title with a 2-0 victory over Ajax Amsterdam.
With one-match ban served by Bailly against Ajax, the UEFA's Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Board (CEDB) has handed an additional two-match ban for the player to serve.
This means Eric Bailly will not be available for UEFA Super Cup encounter with Real Madrid and also United's first match of the 2017/2018 season's UEFA Champions League.
