Super Eagles forgotten left back Juwon Oshaniwa has been released by Scottish club Hearts.
The Afcon 2013 gold medalist was let go after falling to make any first-team appearance last season. The club announced his departure on their website on Wednesday, a year before his contract had been due to expire "Juwon Oshaniwa has left Hearts by mutual consent. The Nigerian full-back’s contract has been ended early, allowing him to move on and find another club. Juwon signed for Hearts in September 2015 and went on to make 25 appearances in a maroon shirt. The club wishes Juwon well in the future," the club posted.
Juwon's playing style has been widely criticized in Scotland. He also featured at Brazil 2014 with Nigeria.
