Super Eagles forgotten winger, Omatsone Aluko was on song on Easter Monday as he netted one of the goals that ensure that London side Fulham F.C gets closer to a premier league return as the 3-1 victory over Aston Villa in the English Championship.
Aluko scored the second goal for the home team at Craven Cottage to further enhance their chances of a Wembley appearance through Playoff. The Whites went in front after 17 minutes when Ryan Sessegnon reacted quickest as his own shot came off the crossbar, with Villa then reduced to 10 men shortly after when Jonathan Kodjia lashed out at Ryan Fredericks. The visitors produced an equaliser in the early stages of the first half when Jack Grealish curled home a fine strike, but Sone Aluko didn’t need long to volley his side back in front. Neeskens Kebano then made sure of the three points with an accurate finish following good work from Stefan Johansen.
Aluko joined Fulham on a free transfer from Hull City last july and signed a two-year deal with an option for a further year.
