Gara Gombe: Rohr is lazy and not ready to work

The inclusion of just one home based player in the list of players that will represent Nigeria in the upcoming friendlies against Senegal and Burkina Faso has generated a lot of talks and controversies among football supporters and sport writers in Nigeria.

Former Gombe State Football Association Chairman and Special Adviser to Former Kano State Governor, Alhaji Gara Gombe Shuaibu has also passed his comments on Rohr's inclusion of just one home based player in the list of players that will face Senegal and Burkina Faso in the upcoming international friendlies later this month. In the list of players released by Gernot Rohr some days ago, FC Ifeanyiuba goalkeeper, Ikechukwu Ezenwa, was the only name on the list for players that ply their trade on the home scene.

The former Gombe State FA Chairman told Nigeria Football and Others in an exclusive chat that, "Rohr is not ready to work, he needs ready made products, this shows he is lazy."

He further said "I have not followed the local league due to corruption and mismanagement of resources, including the inability of LMC to stand and defend the rights of our league players. For this reason, I don't know who should be invited and who should not be, but I am sure we have abundant of talents in the local league that can equal the foreign Legion Rohr is relying on."
In his final word " Rohr is MYOPIC. His captain and some of the so called foreign based are moving to China, yet he can't look inward. Westerhof was successful because he has vision," Alhaji Gara Gombe told Nigeria Football and Others on Thursday night.
