The Teranga Lions of Senegal are not relenting despite a disappointing out at Gabon 2017 where they were eliminated by Champions Cameroon on Penalties at the quarter final stage.
The team flopped despite the favourite tag but they are now set to battle hard for a place in Russia 2018 and they will start their preparation with an exhibition Match in london against Super Eagles of Nigeria and probability of another tie with either Morocco or Ivory Coast.
"Senegal will play in March, a FIFA match date against Nigeria and probably against Morocco or Ivory Coast. We are in preparation for the 2018 World Cup qualifications. We're not going to give up,"said Abdoulaye Sow, a member of the FSF, quoted by the local press
"There are already provisions so that we don't drop your arms, to put the team in the best possible conditions of performance to beat Burkina Faso in Dakar and Ouagadougou. If we can make it happen, we will be irresistible to qualify to the World Cup ", he said.
In qualification of the world 2018, Senegal are currently in third position Behind South Africa and Senegal at the end of Match day two of Road to Russia 2018.In addition,Senegal will play Equatorial Guinea in June for a place in Cameroon 2019 when the qualifiers for Afcon 2019 will kick start.
Super Eagles are topping their World cup playoff group with 6points and will be facing Cameroon in August.
