Nigeria Professional Football League champions Rangers international of Enugu made a remarkable start on the continent after securing a commendable 1-1 away draw in Algeria against JS Saoura.
The flying Antelopes headed into the match with poor form in the NPFL where they lost their last league match to Ifeanyi Ubah over the weekend in Nnewi.
The homeside opened the scoring through Bourdim,the man of the match on the side of Algerians on the 32nd minute mark off a superb free kick, before Bobby Clement grabbed the equalizer just five minutes to halftime.
Late in the game,Ranger had two scoring chances to win but were denied by the brillant Djemili in goal for the North Africans.
The away draw put the Imama led team in good position ahead of the second leg in forthnight of in Enugu preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.
