Despite missing out of Caf Africa Cup of Nations following a failure to qualify for the competition which has become traditional in the last few years.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria will have an awesome opportunity to capitalize on numerous Windows to play multiple matches if well managed by the NFF.
After no action for three months since the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia qualifier against Algeria at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in November 2016, which the Super Eagles won by 3-1.
First up are two international FIFA dates on the 25th and 28th of March home and away respectively with as yet unnamed opponents.
The next outing will be a home tie against South Africa in the first match of the CAF Africa Cup of Nations 2019 qualifiers on the weekend of 9/10/11 June, followed by an international friendly fixture a few days later (13 June) with an as yet to be named country.
July and early August will see the Super Eagles playing the CHAN qualifiers against Togo or Benin and likelihood of another international friendly clash at the end of August.
September will perhaps be the most hectic period of the year as they will resume their 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia qualifiers with back to back clashes against African Champions Cameroon.
This will be followed another back to back encounter in the CHAN qualifiers later in the month, with the last qualifier scheduled for the beginning of October.
Zambia lies in wait in the penultimate 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia come October in Nigeria.
Super Eagles will close the year with perhaps the most important match of their lives when they travel to Algeria for the final match of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia qualifiers set for the weekend of 10/11 November.
The draw for the 2018 FIFA World Cup will be held in December.
